Matt Watson.

A BBC 6 Music supported artist, his 'observational' songwriting style sees him deliver an intriguing blend of alt folk meets indie.

A burgeoning live reputation in recent years have seen Matt share stages with artists such as Billy Bragg, Miles Hunt and Erica Nockalls (The Wonder Stuff), Ian Prowse, Julian Cope and also the The Undertones. He has also appeared as a musical guest at comedian Robin Ince’s Nine Lessons Shows.

Festivals appearances include Latitude and the prestigious festival Folk East.

Matt is also a contributor to local charitable causes. In 2017, he toured venues all along the East Anglian coastline - on foot!

He walked 134 miles with his guitar, fundraising and gigging at events along the way.

Previous releases include two critically acclaimed albums which were independently released with help from the Pledge Music crowdfunding platform and he is currently working on a new album.

The album promises to be a creative mix further developing Matt’s already heady mix of songs and continue the upward curve of one of the UKs brightest new songwriting talents.
